Leading heat pump technology for the coldest conditions
Our leading heat pump is engineered with Lennox' most advanced cold climate technology, using a variable-speed compressor with Electronic Refrigerant Injection (ERI) to adjust the energy usage based on the outside temperature. In colder temperatures, the ERI increases heating output efficiently, providing the warm, rich comfort of a gas furnace with the efficiency of a heat pump.
The perfect amount of quiet
To reduce operating sound levels, the SL22KLV uses a sound-dampening system with a precision-balanced, direct-drive fan to ensure smooth, quiet operation. This lets it operate at a volume as quiet as 58 dB, or the sound of a microwave.
A refrigerant that’s better for the environment.
This product is compliant with 2025 EPA regulations for lower global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants. The Lennox choice of 2025 Compliant Refrigerant has a lower GWP than its predecessor and is formulated to provide excellent, reliable performance of your system for years to come.

SL22KLV Heat Pump
September 07, 2026I am very pleased with my new system. SL22KLV heat pump and SLP99U gas furnace. The weather has been hot (upper 90's) to chilly since the installation, so the heat pump has been used for cooling and heating and does a great job in both modes. The use of the gas furnace has not been needed as of yet. The S40 Thermostat is easy to use and adjust and has features I am still discovering. Two thumbs up.
