Could have been a 5 if!
October 09, 2026Overall, pleased with my Lennox unit, my second (one each at two different homes). Still in summer mode and extreme heat and cooling capability has been excellent. There is however, one minor item and that is kind of an undulating hum, perceptible inside the home, apparently from the compressor while the unit is running. The company that installed the unit sent a tech to investigate (he conformed hearing the sound). He opened the unit and slightly loosened bolts fastening the compressor to the unit along with some of the fasteners of the vent to the home. At first, it seemed to lessen the issue, however, not totally. And I was now concerned with a compressor possibly not securely fastened potentially creating another problem. I had the tech return, thoroughly fasten the compressor and have moved on. Nevertheless, the sound persists. Perhaps not one, as a friend once said, perceptible to a man on a galloping horse, but I hear it and it is not something experienced with my first unit in an earlier home.
