Is it warm? Yes. Is it loud? Yes. And no gift card
November 25, 2025I've only had the unit for a month and it keeps the house toasty and the thermostat is easy to use but it runs louder than I expected. When it really kicks in I can hear a high pitched hum from the unit outside, which is near my bedroom, and I haven't gotten used to it yet so it keeps me up at night. The intake also sounds really loud inside when it kicks in, but I'm not so fussed about that. Mostly I'm upset that I was promised a visa gift card if I bought quickly. I never received the gift card. I emailed about it and called the installation company and hear crickets from both. I feel like it was a false promise to get me to make a quick decision. I probably would have made the same decision anyway due to the generous warranty but definitely don't make a decision based on getting a significant amount back in a gift card. I'm sure there is small print somewhere that will exempt you. I'll update after my first year when I can evaluate energy usage, comfort, and cost
