Features
Variable capacity, constant efficiency
This product offers variable-capacity operation, meaning it can adjust cooling output like a dimmer switch to perfectly match your energy use to your comfort needs. This also helps control humidity more accurately.
Class-leading heat pump technology
Our advanced cold climate technology delivers a greater amount of heat compared to traditional heat pumps, resulting in a feeling similar to the rich, warm comfort of a gas furnace—even during the coldest outdoor temperatures.
Use Less Energy. Save More Money
With efficiencies of up to 19.00 SEER2 and 10.00 HSPF2, the EL18KSLV can deliver significant energy savings. In fact, it can help cut your energy bills year-round. It may even help you qualify for energy rebates.
Small footprint with quiet comfort
The slim-design cabinet of the EL18KSLV allows for installation in even the tightest areas, making it perfect for space-constrained environments such as zero lot line homes. The side-discharge design also reduces sound levels for quiet, compact comfort.

Excellent cooling and heating
October 22, 2026I had a heat pump that cooled fine but didn't heat so well. I did a lot of resesrch looking at new cold climate heat pumps. This was one of the ones my research pointed out. It was installed in early September so initially it was only cooling which it does extremely well. But i got it to heat. Well just a few days it got cold enough that i needed heat. It did not disappoint. Now it's not January cold but the warmth coming out of the vents feels like natural gas heat. We'll see when winter really hits but right now very impressed. I couple it with an eccobee smart thermostat. Great combination.
Yes, I recommend this product.
