Heating Savings
Features
Use less energy. Save more money.
Save money and energy with the EL280E gas furnace. The Power Saver™ constant-torque motor design inside the EL280E gas furnace adjusts airspeed based on demand. Whether you’re heating or cooling, that means you’ll use less energy and see lower utility bills.
Up to 46% greater efficiency than standard motors.
Fine-tune your environment
The EL280E gas furnace features two-stage operation using a bigger flame when heating demands are greater, and a smaller flame when they’re not, so you get more even temperatures and lower gas usage.
Efficient and versatile
The EL280E gas furnace has an 80% AFUE* energy rating, which can significantly reduce your heating costs compared to older furnaces. And because it’s dual-fuel capable, you can pair it with a Lennox heat pump for even more efficient operation.

Products that add to the performance of EL280E Gas Furnace
- * AFUE, or Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency, is a measure of how much usable heat is generated when natural gas is burned in the furnace. The higher the AFUE, the more heat you’ll get from your natural gas, and the less gas you’ll have to use to stay warm.
- ** Furnace model numbers designated with a ‘K’ (EL280EK) indicate the equipment contains an on board refrigerant detection system. Identical furnace model numbers without a ‘K’ (as shown above) indicate an identical product as to key aspects of the equipment, including rating, performance, and specifications, but specifically exclude an on board refrigerant detection system.
This furnace does not meet the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule 1111 NOx emission limit (14 ng/J) and cannot be installed in the SCAQMD.
If installed in San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD) only: This furnace does not meet the SJVAPCD Rule 4905 NOx emission limit (14 ng/J), and thus is subject to a mitigation fee of up to $450.
