Whistling nightmare and more
December 18, 2025Our old unit was a Lennox from almost 20 years ago. It finally reached its end. New Lennox installed and it has not been smooth. The unit is an hvac and propane fueled furnace and the noises this system makes are ridiculous. Outdoor unit stops loudly and then there is a running water sound that comes from the lines in the basement where the indoor unit is located. Then the loud high pitched whistling from the indoor unit wakes you up from a sound sleep. Install company attached a humidifier (that we wanted) that is not supposed to be there due to a power/force limit. They should know that right? Technicians said it needs a bypass and the communication from the company has stopped…may just be a quirk with my system but I say don’t buy.
