Pleasantly Surprised.
February 15, 2026Coming from a gas furnace I was concerned about the effectiveness, dryness and cost of electric heat. Coming out of a brutally cold winter I am pleasantly surprised with the Lenox ML14KP1 - Merit Heat Pump. It kept up, providing sufficient heating and, while the electric bill was large, it was not as high as I thought it was going to be. And, without a gas bill, it turned out to be somewhat affordable to run.
