Our new Lennox HVAC
November 04, 2025Hi Folks, Overall, we are pleased with our new HVAC system with zoning. It was installed in hottest and most humid part of year, which is August in these parts, and we immediately felt an improvement in cooling throughout the house, and higher efficiency as lower electric bills (all other current draws considered). However, during a power outage, the upstairs Zone 2 thermostat and the Zone board in the basement were burned out. We've been without zoning for about a month now as we wait for Randazzo to fit us into their schedule. We are on service visit number 3. It is all under warranty, but we just dropped 17k on the system install and wonder if this is going to happen whenever there is a power outage. I would suggest that Lennox build in additional surge protection and line voltage conditioning to protect these control systems on which our HVAC depends.
