Can hope it is quality built

October 21, 2026

Unfortunately I’ve had several Freon leaks of the evaporator coil (wall unit) with a fairly new Lennox mini-split system that was installed a couple of years prior to the newer Lennox/Samsung unit venture. That system was branded Lennox but was manufactured by “Midea”; Lennox older partner. The NEW MWPD Single-Zone Mini-Split Heat Pump, was installed just a few weeks ago as a warranty replacement for the defective Lennox/Midea unit. I’ve not had a chance to use it much because the Summer has ended & it’s been cool out. I am hopeful that this new 12k Lennox/ Midea model is made with superior quality & will not leak like my other 2 defective Lennox/Midea units had. The NEW Lennox/Midea MWPD Single-Zone Mini-Split Heat Pump, connects through SmartThings app enabling many convenient features. Many of those features are easier to use than the remote. I would be very happy if the unit holds up & does not developed Freon leaks for many years.
