Lennox® Dealer Safety in Your Home

You're likely spending more time at home these days, and what you're doing at home may have changed as well. Your living room has become a classroom, and your dining room transformed into your new home office. As you adjust to your new routines, one thing will remain the same – you'll continue to focus on keeping your family healthy and comfortable.

As an essential business, Lennox and our dealers are ready to help should you find yourself in need of HVAC repairs or system maintenance during the COVID-19 pandemic. When you contact your local Lennox® dealer, we encourage you to ask what precautions the dealer is taking to protect themselves and you, their customers.

We've gathered recommendations from a variety of trusted public sources, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and the White House, and shared these with our dealer partners to make sure they're performing their job duties safely. Read on to see what you can expect when a Lennox dealer visits your home.

Before Your Appointment:

  • Technicians are screened each morning for any COVID-19 symptoms and will not visit any homes if they do show symptoms
  • Dealers follow the CDC's recommendations for protecting themselves from being exposed to the virus
  • Each technician washes their hands thoroughly between appointments and carries hand sanitizer or disinfectant wipes in their service vehicle
  • When possible, technicians will conduct work that can be done without entering the home, like running diagnostic tests. Most HVAC components are also located in remote areas of the home where homeowners will not be spending time

During Your Appointment:

  • Technicians will follow social distancing best practices, including not shaking hands with the homeowner and staying six feet away from any residents during their appointment
  • All technicians will wear shoe covers, gloves and may wear a mask, if the homeowner prefers
  • Used air filters will contain dust and may also contain germs, pollen, mold, and other respiratory irritants. If the visit involves replacing the air filters, the technician will use gloves when handling the used filters and place them in a garbage bag for removal from the home
  • The technician will use disinfectant wipes to clean any surfaces they touch in the home once their work is complete
  • Once the appointment is complete, the technician may follow up via video conference or phone call to share findings, recommendations and to accept payment

We hope this will give you peace of mind before you contact your local Lennox dealer. If you're looking for additional ways to stay comfortable in your home, browse our blog for seasonal maintenance and healthy lifestyle tips. Here's to home.
