Overall a very good application
September 27, 2021We have not had the issues many are describing in their posts. We've had no connection issues between the Smart Hub and the thermostat or the thermostat and the application. However, there is a fairly steep learning curve to using the app which does take some time to become familiar with. But after that it's pretty easy to just "set and forget". The "seasonal settings" option (summer, winter, spring/fall) supports this set once and done design of the app. But I do have some recommendations for improving the application: 1 - The ability to turn on the fan separately should support different speed settings - low and high or variable. Currently the fan speed cannot be set and it appears to be permanently set at a very slow speed; 2 - If the "Smart Away" setting has been set to "deny" location tracking DO NOT PROMPT THE USER EVERY TIME THE APP IS OPENED to change this setting! With multiple adults in a home on different schedules ONE PERSON'S LOCATION CANNOT BE USED TO CONTROL THE THERMOSTAT SETTINGS! The idea of an "away settings" feature needs to be more thoroughly reviewed and designed. 3 - Provide a method within the app to view system usage by day, week, month, year. The Sensi thermostat we used previously allowed week to week, day to day, month to month, and year to year comparisons on usage...providing this basic record of usage within the app is very useful. If these values are available on-line then provide a method within the app to access this data. 4 - When making changes to the app be sure to get user input as part of the change/improvement process BEFORE deployment! Users of your app are your greatest resource for making this app successful!

Works good but
March 04, 2020I have this unit for about a year. We went from the Nest Pro to the I30. It has a few extra features but miss the most important one. I like to know how long my system is running every day? The nest emails your usage. I wish this I30 had that. That was very important to us. Everything else on the I30 we like. The big screen display shows the local weather and the phone app is great.

Nice but
December 12, 2019I upgraded to the E30 and overall I am happy but for whatever reason whenever I enable Smart Away the Performance Reports stop updating and are incomplete. This is frustrating because the main reason I upgraded was to take advantage of the Smart Away and Performance Report feature.
