How to Install the Lennox Wireless Extender
Install the Lennox Smart Thermostat app. Scan the QR code to download the app and user guide and view how-to videos.
Plug in the Wireless Extender into a power outlet. Make sure there is no metal in close proximity as it may interfere with the wireless connection.
Add the Wireless Extender to the thermostat BLE mesh network. A wizard will walk you through the steps to add the Wireless Extender.
Confirm the desired Wireless Extender location has adequate signal strength.
How to Rename a Lennox Wireless Extender
Install or open the Lennox Smart Thermostat app. Go to System Settings and tap on the Wireless Extender.
You can tap on Extender Name and type in your desired Wireless Extender name.

How to Replace or Remove a Lennox Wireless Extender
Install or open the Lennox Smart Thermostat app. Go to System Settings and tap on the Wireless Extender.
Tap either Replace or Remove buttons.

If you have a Smart Air Quality Monitor or Smart Room Sensor out of range from your S40 thermostat a blue LED on the device will indicate so and that is where you will need a Wireless Extender.
Plug the smart device into a power outlet that is between the locations of the smart device and the S40 Smart Thermostat. The device is powered by a 120VAC outlet.
The S40 Smart Thermostat connects with the Smart Room Sensor via proprietary Bluetooth protocol, called a BLE Mesh. The range between the S40 and any smart device is approximately 70 feet. When you need to improve the connection, you will receive an alert for low signal strength. Call your Lennox dealer to install a Lennox Wireless Extender to increase the connection strength.
No, do not paint the Wireless Extender. Doing so could affect the communicating functions of the extender.
The first device must be added by your dealer in order to create the BLE network. Afterwards, you can add or remove devices using the Lennox Home App.
You can attach up to two Wireless Extenders per single S40 Smart Thermostat BLE mesh network. You can attach a total of 6 smart accessories per single S40 Smart Thermostat BLE mesh network.
