What can I do to reduce cooling or heating demand?

Here are some pointers to reduce cooling or heating demand with your Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat:

1) When in cooling, raise your cooling set-point to the highest temperature which you can be comfortable. Program your thermostat to set the cooling setpoint even higher when you will not be home. Similarly, when in heating, lower your heating setpoint to the lowest temperature which you can be comfortable. Program your thermostat to set the heating setpoint even lower when you will not be home. You can utilize the Smart Away feature on the S40 thermostat to do this automatically.
