Based on previous interactions with similar issues, here are the steps to connect the s40 to the server: on the main screen of the s40, select the menu button in the upper left corner. on the menu screen, select the settings option. in the system settings screen, select the wi-fi option. slide the on/off switch to on to enable wi-fi. the thermostat will display enabling as it attempts to connect to the wi-fi network. once wi-fi is enabled, select the not connected option. select the desired wi-fi network to connect to. enter the password for the wi-fi network. click done and then join to connect to the network. the thermostat will attempt to join the wi-fi network with the password you entered. if the thermostat connects to the wi-fi network, click the home button in the upper left on the screen. on the main screen, select the menu button in the upper left corner. on the menu screen, select the user account option. in the user settings screen, click the create new account button. fill in the account info in the screen. the password must be entered twice to confirm. click next to continue. it is highly recommended that the allow dealers to receive option be selected. the i agree to the terms option must be checked. after entering the home address info, click the create account button to create the account. please note that the s40 uses a different app and would need to have its own account. if you are still facing issues, please reach out to lennox technical support at 1-800-453-6669 if you are a technician or 1-800-953-6669 if you are a homeowner.
