Connecting bluetooth room sensor to s40 thermostat?

To connect a bluetooth room sensor to the s40 thermostat, follow these steps: 1. download and install the lennoxÂ® smart technician service app if not already installed on your mobile device. 2. open the case of the smart room sensor and remove the insulation tape from the aa lithium batteries. once the tape is removed the smart device will start broadcasting its id automatically. 3. on the s40 thermostat, go to menu > settings > advanced settings > view support service control center and select connect to lennox smart technician app. 4. start the lennoxÂ® smart technician app and follow the screen prompts until you reach service center. 5. to add a smart room sensor, select equipment settings > add device. 6. follow the screen prompts to add the smart device. 7. confirm the desired sensor location has adequate signal strength. a blue led light on the sensor indicates weak signal. the lennoxÂ® wireless extender (sold separately) is recommended when a location does not have a strong signal strength. 8. install the smart room sensor on an interior wall at a minimum height of 5 feet (1.52 meters) or place on the stand. remember, the first smart device must be added by the technician in order to create the ble network. afterwards, you can add or remove smart devices using the lennox smart thermostat app.
