At Lennox, our commitment to the environment is taking shape in many ways.
We created the world’s first residential air conditioner rated at more than 20.5 SEER, and we also offer one of the most efficient gas furnaces on the market. Both of these products are part of a complete selection of ENERGY STAR® qualified heating and cooling systems.
Our manufacturing facilities continue to implement projects and procedures that help us reduce hazardous material and energy usage, and lower harmful emissions.
We have also strengthened our commitment to the environment through our partnerships with regional utility companies and the thousands of Lennox® Dealers across North America. We are also involved in industry coalitions that promote environmentally responsible practices.
Lennox is a member of the Thermostat Recycling Corporation (TRC), which facilitates the collection and proper disposal of mercury-containing thermostats in the U.S.
We also participate in the Canadian thermostat-recycling program, called Switch the ‘Stat, which is administered by the Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) and supported by the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH).
We are proud to have a wide range of our Lennox® products approved to earn National Green Building Certification points by the NAHB Research Center, a subsidiary of the National Association of Home Builders.
