Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice looking high quality unit So far, this unit has performed flawlessly. It looks great, and is quiet to boot. I like the upright feature and the clam shell design for ease of cleaning the coils. No complaints so far March 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great system For the price we couldn't beat it very quiet and efficient for a budget like ours March 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Much better than unit it replaced. The Lennox heat pump is much quieter than the unit (from another manufacturer) that it replaced. It also seems put together much better (old unit had a very flimsy cabinet) When in heat mode the Lennox has a much quieter defrost cycle than the old unit, which sounded like it was exploding when it went into defrost. Here in Arizona we have over 100 100deg days each year and always several 110deg plus days. The Lennox is up to the task. January 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works Great; Quiet! This unit heats and cools great and runs really quietly. Love it. Definitely recommend. January 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Another quality Lennox product! The XP13 is an excellent value in the Elite Series. We have 2 heat pumps that heat and cool our house, and they do a fantastic job of keeping every room just the right temperature. They're economical, too. We couldnt' be more satisfied. Rated 1 out of 5 by Lennox XP13 Electronics Nothing but problems since my lennox XP13 was installed. Only works for about a year before it has to be serviced. I continue to have problems with the defrost control board. Have had it replace twice in four years and I believe its failing is caused by other parts malfunctioning. The certified Lennox guy has advised me to "just replace everything" because he doesnt know what is wrong. I have the Capacitor and contactor replaced, then the board goes out, replace the board and it works for a year... then the board continues to flash an error code and wont start the compressor. If its not one thing its another. I dont know if all Lennox products are like this but in four years I have used the "Emergency Heat" more than the heat pump. December 1, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfort The heat pump works very well and I am so comfortable. It has only been installed for a week, so I don't have much history and, of course, haven't had a power bill. I am hoping my power bill is significantly lower. November 14, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by The unit performs well but is very noisy We have had this unit for three years and have had no mechanical problems. It is easy toprogram and is relatively inexpensive to operate. My only concern thus far is the noise it creates. If this could be corrected I would be most pleased. November 6, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Nothing but nightmares with a Lennox I have had a Lennox heat pump for 12 years and have had the outside unit replaced 4 times now and have spent well into the thousands, more than the unit was in the first place. I do not recommend a Lennox product ever, they do not last and VERY unrealiable as they say in their booklet, ONE THING LESS TO WORRY ABOUT! DO NOT BUY ONE, NOT TRUE! they only work for about a year at a time..then problems! I think maybe Lennox should pay for my new one since I have bought so many bad ones from their company! Rated 2 out of 5 by Works fair on cooling The system maintains temp in the house, but is very drafty in the winter. 80 to 85 deg air temp in winter is not comfortable. Had to a v/s control to the air handler in order to make system tolerable. Would change to gas if available. September 27, 2012
