Rated 5 out of 5 by Would recommend 2 Stage variable speed. Replaced 20 year old Lennox Pulse with which we had minimal repairs over the years., However it was LOUD. Recently installed EL296V. Very quiet and efficient. The variable speed seems to keep the house at a more consistent temperature by utilizing the first stage lower speed. The higher speed really seems to heat the house up faster than the old furnace. Matched with the new Lennox thermostat we are able to keep the house at a more even comfortable temperature when we are at home. January 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very quiet furnace with superior smooth performance. I had the EL296V for only three months as a planned replacement for an older system. So far, the performance of this furnace is way superior to what I got accustomed to. The furnace operation is so smooth and quiet with almost continuous air circulation in the house. Gone forever, is the smell of stagnant stale air. January 3, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great furnace -- very even heat throughout the house I replaced my 18-year old Lennox furnace with the EL296V furnace, and have been very happy with the new furnace. The heat is much more consistent throughout the house, with fewer ups and downs in temperature. Also, it really heats up the house quickly compared to the old model, and the heat seems warmer. It is quieter than the old model, especially the ignition system. December 30, 2012

Also, the fan doesn't run all the time, as I expected. Also, my gas bill is about the same. The rebate was nice, but I'm disappointed.... December 29, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gas bill is lower and every room stays equally warm. My old furnace only kept the bathroom and one small bedroom warm in the cold weather. My whole home now stays the same temperature. I recently received my first heating bill for the new furnace and I can already see I have substantial savings on my heating bill. Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome furnace. I am a HVAC tech and I have to say I am super impressed with this machine. Our Lennox rep is who initially sold me on the furnace. Now that I have had it running for some time I can confidently say it is a great furnace. SUPER quiet operation. And the Lennox Pure Air works SOOO well with it. The efficiency is incredible. And with my WiFi iComfort stat I can control my system from anywhere on my cell phone or iPad. I would buy this system again in a heart beat. December 20, 2012
