We needed a new furnace to replace a 14 year old builder's grade unit. We're very happy with the new Lennox unit. Runs very quietly and the blowers are stronger than the old unit. Keeps the house evenly heated.

Purchase this EL296E unit because my old 12 yr old furnace was getting unreliable. The new furnace is quiet, I can barely notice it is running. Also the 2 stage heating seems to make the temperature more stable.
I also considered the EL296V and EL195E, but I wanted a 2 stage furnace, and I am not convinced that the variable speed motor on the 296V is worth the difference. If you want the wireless thermostat that can be controlled anywhere, you'll need the 296V, the 296E does not support it.
No issue with the new furnace yet, I don't expect any until the unit gets much, much older.

Did I mention quiet. We've only had the new furnace for a week, but we love how quiet it is. We no longer have to turn up the volume on the TV when the blower kicks on as with our older oil furnace. Also, we've noticed a difference with heat distribution through the entire house. Haven't gotten our first gas bill yet, so I can't comment on the savings.

ALTHOUGH IT'S ONLY BEEN LESS THAN A MONTH SINCE INSTALLATION, WE ARE COMPLETELY SATISFIED. OUR HOME HAS BEEN VERY COMFORTABLE WITH THE HONEYWELL PROGRAMMABLE THERMOSTAT. WE NEVER NEED TO ADJUST IT UNLESS WE WANT TO RAISE OR LOWER THE TEMPERATURE. WHEN WE RECEIVE OUR NEXT UTILITY BILL WE WILL KNOW IF IT IS MORE EFFICIENT.

We were told that Lennox is the quietest furnace on the market. It is much quieter than our old furnace; we don't notice furnace noise now.
The two stage blower provides even heat to our rooms whereas our former furnace did not furnish enough heat to rooms most distant from the furnace.
I am sure that we will see a significant reduction is our gas bill because this Lennox furnace is 95% efficient.
We are pleased with this furnace and would not hesitate to recommend a Lennox furnace to others.

I can't believe how quiet the furnace is. The furnace with the humidifyer has kept my home feeling warmer than it has ever felt before. The thermostadt with iphone capable control is the neatist thing I've ever seen. I even play with it sometimes just to show friends. Cool hey?

The product is very quiet and heat distribution in our 2 story home has improved significantly. No more cold areas. The run time of the furnace is much shorter than previous 35 year old furnace.

My furnace is located in a closet in the bedroom. My old unit was very loud and would wake my husband and I up through the night when it would come on. After 25 years of it we decided to look for a better system. Our HVAC company came out and recommended this furnace and since they put it in we hardly know it is on. For the first month I had to check to see if it was on because we were so use to hearing it. Our gas bills dropped in half . We cant wait to see what the summer has in store for us.

Just got the furnace so we'll see how it goes but so far we are very happy with it. Programming features are great and like the "away" feature. I used to have to change the whole program when we left and change it again when we came back. Now it's just push one button! Furnace is very quiet. Smaller unit that original one.

We had a new furnace put in on New Year's Eve day and since then haven't even noticed when it was running. Our gas bill looks like it will be much lower as well.

We switched to this model from an older 80% propane furnace. This new furnace is VERY quiet, yet still heats the entire house to a comfortable temperature. Highly recommended if you are looking to upgrade from an older, less efficient furnace.

I was really excited to receive a furnace with a variable speed DC blower motor. Coupled with the high efficiency heat exchanger, I am looking forward to the decrease in energy bills. Also, this unit is very quiet while operating.
