There are six relays in this thermostat... all of them make a loud click when activated. The unit is mounted in the hallway adjacent to the master suite...CLICK CLICK CLICK all night long... if you own one of these you'll become a person who sleeps with a pillow over your ears all night....;-(

The thermostat is VERY user-friendly and provides simple adjustment with backlighting so it is easy to see at night as soon as you touch the screen. The only aspect we don't like is that it is noisy - it unfortunately clicks audibly when it turns the HVAC on and off. With that said, we are using on a hybrid duel-fuel Heat Pump/Gas furnace (propane# to maximize efficiency and the HVAC company #highly reputable in our area) has informed us that this is the reason for the audible click. A BIG PRO is that it is capable of automatically switching use of heat source based upon temperature and operational efficiency of Heat Pump, hence it provides optimal operation without any need for attention from us.

the scheduler works great until you manually increase or decrease the temp, then it changes you settings and you have to go in and reschedule everything

I have a Lennox X4147 to control a heat and cool
thermopump and gas heater as secundary heat.The problem I have is that it works fine for a few hours and then the fan will not stop and pump supply cold air,keep like this for 45 minutes or more,the reading drops to 65 F(setting at 70 f) then the emergency heat comes on and raises the room temp. to 72.5 ( i have another thermostat that reads 72.5) and the lennox thermostat reaches only 65 f . After a couple of minutes the lennox thermostat reaches 71.5 f and the setting on the thermostat is only 70 f. ( I tried two more thermostats with the same result, it seems the thermostat is slow to react to changes in temp.

Comfort screen is intuitive and easy to use. We particularly enjoy the feature which allows you to detach the unit from the wall while you program it.
