This air handler is whisper quiet; we cannot tell when it is running from the sound of it alone. We walk by one of the vents and go, "Oh, it's on!"

This unit is loud when the variable speed fan is slowing down. Loud enough that it will wake us up through the night. I expected a very quiet unit from what I was told, now I have to put insulation on my basement ceiling to quiet the noise. I was told by the company this noise is normal.

I upgraded from an a single stage to a two stage heat pump and I am very glad I did. The CBX series variable speed air handler is quiet and efficient. The longer run time in stage one cooling allows for improved dehumidification while saving energy.

This unit is amazingly quiet and has great air filtration built in to ease allergies.

My Home Before was blah or just to much air at one time, the thermostat was the battle ground with everybody touching it up or down....Now since the CBX40V, we never have anything to complain about and the hands are never on the Thermostat...WOW what Great Comfort Lennox has brought into our lives.. Thanks Dave
