Rated 1 out of 5 by Ace2013 Carbon Clean version of X6675 restricting air flow
I recently replaced a Lennox X6675 filter purchased 9 months ago with the Carbon Clean version of the X6675. There was an immediate change in my heating system's ability to bring my house up from its "nighttime" temperature to its "daytime" thermostat setting. What previously took about 30 minutes now takes at least two hours. Unfortunately, it seems the company I bought from cannot obtain the old X6675; only the new carbon clean version.

My furnace had a very inadequate filtration system with just a hole cut out of the sheet metal and placing a hogs hair filter was causing blower motor to have lots of dust built up around it needing to cleaned.

*Source: Leading consumer magazine, January 2012. Based on the published CADR, which is a standardized measurement system to determine the cubic feet of clean air produced per minute.
**MERV = Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. Describes the filter's ability to capture particles and ranges from 1 to 16. Typical fiberglass filter = MERV 1. The higher the MERV rating, the better the filtration.
***The Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) represents the cubic feet of clean air produced per minute.
