Rated 5 out of 5 by Dave123 It made me comfortable I replaced a heat pump that came with the house. The original unit did not keep the house anywhere near uniform in temperature. The old unit roared when operating. The XP17 is much quieter and my house is mostly uniform. So far I am very pleased. July 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by babs55 great products had to replace both units and handler in attic, checked out consumer reports ratings, the units are so more efficient, quieter , love the I comfort wi-fi thermostats, easy to program, large display. July 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by CVan Great We were concerned about the possible noise generated but when running, we can stand beside it and hear our neighbours heat pump blasting away over ours (and our units are on oppposite ends of our yards so you cant get further apart). So its pretty quiet. Cools nicely in the summer (we have a three storey house) and warms in winter. We love it and kick ourselves for not getting one sooner. Did a lot of research on these before pulling the trigger...the research has paid off for sure with this unit. Glad we bought it. July 16, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by 58Steve Super Quiet! You will not know it's running. The unit has only been in for a few weeks now and so far I am very satisfied. I would recommend this unit. June 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by nebatug Works as advertised We've installed two separate two-ton heat pumps and air handler systems, one year apart. Both work as advertised. I have a slight concern about the noise the first installed system makes at start up-- when the compressor kicks on. Was told it wasn't something to worry about. Both systems are quiet when running, and the efficiency is reflected in our electric bills each month. Hoping the systems work as well for many years to come. June 20, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by kitty do not buy this product. 3 months old the defrost switch went. 11 months the fan and fan motor died. It will cost me much money that I don't have to get this fixed. May 29, 2014
*This chart compares the 5-year savings you can expect from a 17.50 SEER/9.50 HSPF heat pump vs. existing equipment with a 10.00 SEER/6.80 HSPF rating and industry-standard equipment with a 13.00 SEER/7.70 HSPF rating. The region used to calculate household fuel and utility costs reflect a cross-section of cities in the U.S. In addition to geography, cooling costs are based on 3-ton capacity specifications, with 650 cooling hours, 2,400 heating hours per year and 11.62 cents per KWh (Source: EIA National average electric rate-Rolling 12 months ending July 2009). Your actual costs will vary depending on the weather, local fuel rates, system settings and your personal lifestyle.
