Here are answers to three of the questions we get asked most. (See all FAQs.)

1. Should I cover my outdoor HVAC unit in winter?
No, it isn't necessary, especially if you have a heat pump that runs all year long. In fact, a cover can trap moisture inside. If you're concerned about keeping out leaves and debris, you can purchase a short from a Lennox Dealer.

2. What's the best place for a thermostat?
Install your home's thermostat on an inside wall, away from direct sunlight, vents or lighting sources. Otherwise it won't be able to accurately read your home's temperature.

3. Where is my HVAC filter?
If you're not sure where the filter is, check inside the blower compartment of your furnace, in an attached filter case or in a wall-mounted return air grill. If all else fails, call your local Lennox Dealer for assistance.
