Time for a change?

This year’s stimulus act provides tax credits that can help reduce your taxes when you replace your old, inefficient HVAC system. And while a newer system can also lower your utility bills, you may not be ready to make the commitment.

Here are details on the tax credit, and how to know if your system should be replaced.

Tips for a safer home this summer
1. Keep your garage door opener inside your home, instead of in your car, when it’s parked outside.
2. Make a plan for summer storms.
3. Organize a neighborhood watch.
4. Protect your home’s air from chemical vapors and other contaminants.
5. If you buy a new TV or computer, don’t leave the empty box out for trash pickup.
